Just as the lord closed his eyes, a strange dream visited him.
Gediminas dreamt that at the top of the hill, where he had fought
off a bison that day, there stood a huge iron wolf. The wolf lifted
up his proud head to the moon and growled as hundreds of
wolves. Awakened by the rays of the rising sun, the Duke
remembered his strange dream and asked the pagan priest
Lizdeika to reveal the secret of the dream.
