ROBERT PATTINSON
AS MANDEL
Born on May 13, 1986 in London, England, Robert Pattinson began acting in
high-school, performing in amateur plays with the Barnes Theatre Company.
He gained widespread recognition for his performance as ‘Cedrick Diggory’
in Mike Newell’s Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire (2005).
Robert landed the role of Edward Cullen in the highly-anticipated adapta-
tion of the Twilight Saga, which went on to gross over one billion dollars
worldwide. He was then cast opposite Reese Witherspoon in an adaptation
of Water for Elephants, which took in over one hundred million dollars at
the box office. Creatively compelling roles quickly followed, with Robert re-
ceiving critical praise for roles in both David Michod’s The Rover and David
Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis.
The last few years have cemented Robert’s reputation as one of the finest
working actors of his generation. He recently starred opposite Charlie Hun-
nam in James Gray’s critically acclaimed film The Lost City of Z. His turn
as ‘Connie Nikas’ in Josh and Benny Safdie’s Good Time earned him rave
reviews, with Guy Lodge of Variety noting, “Robert Pattinson hits a career
high in Benny and Josh Safdie’s nervy, vivid heist thriller, which merges
messy humanity with tight genre mechanics”.
In 2018, Robert is slated to star in Palme d’Or winning director Claire De-
nis’s upcoming sci-fi film High Life, which will premiere at the 2018 Toronto
International Film Festival. He will also reunite with director David Michod
on Netflix’s The King, co-starring Timothee Chalamet and Joel Edgerton.
