CHRIS MENGES
Chris Menges was born on September 15th, 1940 in Kington, Here-
fordshire, England as Christopher J. Menges. Chris Menges is known
for The Killing Fields (1984), Michael Collins (1996), The Mission
(1986), A World Apart (1988). He is a Member of the American Society
of Cinematographers (ASC) and the British Society of Cinematogra-
phers (BSC). Menges won an Oscar in 1985 for Best Cinematography
in The Killing Fields and another Oscar in 1987 for Best Cinematogra-
phy in The Mission. Chris Menges was also nominated for Oscars in
1997 for Best Cinematography in Michael Collins and in 2009 for Best
Achievement in Cinematography for The Reader (2008).
