                                                             ระดับความเหนื่อยและความสามารถในการท ากิจกรรมทางกายของผู้ปุวย
                                                                   ที่ได้รับการผ่าตัดหัวใจ โรงพยาบาลเชียงรายประชานุเคราะห์



                 METHOD
                        Using  descriptive  design,  study  was  done  in  patients  with  open  heart
                 surgery  during  December  2012  to  May  2013.  Collect  general  data,  clinical

                 information, rating of perceived exertion (Borg’s scale), and physical activity by
                  Duke Activity Status Index (DASI) Thai version 3 times, before surgery, post- op
                 surgery and follow up 1-2 weeks post discharge.

                 RESULTS

                        The subject was 44 patients with open heart surgery, with average age of
                 50 years old, 21 males and 23 females. 79.5% were surgery to treat valvular heart
                 diseases.  They  had  average  length  of  stay  in  hospital  10.0  days,  average  on

                 cardiac  rehabilitation  program  6.6  days.  When  follow  up  after  discharge  1-2
                  weeks, rating of perceived exertion was decrease 1-2 level (P< 0.001). Patients
                 could be done activity estimate 4.5 METS that enough for doing essential activity

                 of daily living.
                  DISSCUSION and CONCLUSION

                        The  physical  activity  in  post-  op  open  heart  surgery  patients  was
                 improved after discharge from hospital 1-2 weeks. Cardiac rehabilitation program

                 promotes  patients  to  confide  to  do  activity  of  daily  living  .Long  term  study

                  should be suggested to follow up rating of back to work and quality of life.
