                               We Must Develop A Child’s

                              Trusting Heart Toward God

But you must be ‘childlike’ to see to see the GOSPEL, or even to

understand the Bible in general. You must approach God in a

trusting, searching, inquisitive way, like children do with anything

               new.

Perhaps this is why Jesus tells us to ‘become as a child,’ with

regard to the things of God — ‘or we will not enter the Kingdom

of God.’ I don’t think he is talking about heaven or hell here

because he says God’s Kingdom ‘is in the midst of us.’

Jesus is talking about us truly living God’s Kingdom here on earth

that will then just continue over into heaven. He says his Father

willingly gives us his entire Kingdom (Luke 12:32).

He wasn’t talking about salvation as much as he is talking about

seeing the reality of truth in this life. If we only approach things

               RATIONALLY, they often escapes us.

Instead, God wants us to approach life RELATIONALLY.

Paul says God not only wants everyone to be saved, but to come

into a knowledge of the truth (I Tim 2:4). Whenever you see the

word truth, in either the words of Jesus, or the words of Paul, it

means ‘gospel truth,’ which is the reality of God’s Kingdom on
               earth.
