depth and length of the gospel -- that begins with knowing God's

               love (Eph 3:16-19).

Remember Paul’s conference with God in heaven. He heard

glorious things he wasn’t allowed to repeat to us (II Cor 12:1-4).

So no matter how good we ever come to think the gospel is, it is

really better than we can think or imagine.

At least I have discovered in my life that unless I pursue God,

and am even aggressive in my relationship with him, it gets stale.

Of course I always know the ’basics,’ and don’t lose sight of

them: “For God so loved Roger that he gave his only begotten
Son Jesus.” This is wonderful truth, and we can’t get to heaven

               without it.

But it’s so much more fun to push the issue of the gospel because

I know I can never exceed the reality of God’s truth.

It's in our desire to pursue God aggressively, and embrace him

personally, that we come to know him.

Jesus says, “The law and prophets existed until John (the Baptist).
But since that time, the Kingdom of God is preached (the gospel

of the Kingdom), and every man presses into it” (Lk 16:16).

In Matthew Jesus says much the same, but says ‘the Kingdom

suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.’ This is the way
we should approach God’s Kingdom and gospel of his Kingdom.
