I know a lot about the President of the U.S., but I don’t know him.

I don’t want God to say this about me and him. I want to grow in

personal, intimate knowledge of him, and the only way I know to

do this is by coming to know him more and more as Abba, and
then come to reverence him as Father.

The former is a form of religion, the latter is the gospel.

To many Christians, the Christian life is boring. During the week

they go to work. On Saturday they watch a sports game on

television. On Sunday they go to church and watch another event

on the podium of some church. Christianity is cold, clinical

               and boring.

No thanks! I want to dredge the depths of my heart, and

experience God as Abba — like a child who adores his Daddy

               – like a son who totally trusts his Father. Like David, I want to

hear the words, “Roger is a man after my own heart.”

                                              I Had a Vision

                                        of Life After Death

Too often, the only picture we have of hell is as being one of fire

and agony and 'grinding of teeth.' This is a vision developed by

cartoons, but also by some preachers.
