Salient points of Discussion:

 Halal industry - Qatar intended to establish a halal park at
their place in facilitating the growth of the halal industry for
business and investment.

 Food security - Qatar was looking for Malaysian agency
focusing on food security to cooperate with the Qatari
company, Baladna which operates dairy products.

 14th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) - Tentatively,
the event will be held from 8-10 October 2019 in Doha.
Among areas that will be focusing on are economic, trade,
youth and Islamic banking.

 Selangor City Project - Qatar was keen to invest in project
especially in the areas of development, environmental and
solid waste.
 Investment Guarantee Agreement (IGA) - Qatar hoped
that the agreement would be finalized soon.

 Digital Free Trade Zone (DFTZ) – Qatar welcomes
Malaysian investor to invest in Qatar DFTZ. YBM
conquered and proposed Qatar to have engagement with
the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd
