What Your Agent Isn't Telling You...

     Confessions of an Honest Realtor

                                                           Honesty and real estate don’t

usually mix but I would like
                                                           to give you some honest

advice to show you how I can
                                                           help you understand this whole

                                                           process and hopefully you will

see what sets us apart. I will

try to explain it to you like this…

Much like our bodies, a house is a pretty basic thing on

the surface that most people can understand because

everybody knows what a door is, a window, a sink, bath tub

etc. But just like our bodies there is much more to a house

than what you can see cosmetically.

A house is comprised of systems, and for the house to be

functioning at its optimal level all of these systems have to be

intact for the house to actually be in good shape. The
likelihood of you being able to tell if a person is healthy just

by looking at their appearance is absurd right?

That same logic should be applied to the ‘health’ of a

house. Make sense? I hope so…

I’m sure that you have heard the term ‘putting lipstick on a pig’

at some point in your life before. And if you think of

the analogy I used above, (on either the buying or selling side

of real estate transactions), this can be a reality if you

don’t know what you're looking at. Home builders and
contractors alike sometimes tend to dress up shoddy

workmanship behind walls and places that the average

consumer, or even inspectors for that matter wouldn't even

              look.
