Camping Knots: Stationary Hitches














                     when a kite or garden trellis is assembled,
                     and it holds nicely in synthetic or natural
                     fiber cord. It is similar to but slightly less
                     complex  than  the  constrictor  knot  (see
                     page 73). This knot is typically tied in short
                     pieces  of  rope  or  cordage,  since  longer
                     pieces  are  unwieldy  and  unnecessary  to
                     get the job done.
