The Phenomenon of Mompreneur During the Covid-19
Pandemic Period

The phenomenon of layoffs that occurred during the pandemic had an impact
on household resilience. The demand for fulfilling economic needs is a priority
for the survival of the family. The impact of layoffs is felt for households that only
have one source of income, namely the father. The phenomenon of the head of
the household being laid off has become a new phenomenon during the
pandemic. The mompreneurs phenomenon is found in many households where
women as wives who initially only took care of children and the household, now
manage home businesses for family economic reasons. This paper focuses on the
phenomenon of entrepreneurs during the pandemic. The purpose of this paper
is to how the pandemic has increased the role of women taking care of children
and households and also being a family economic warrior. The author conducted
interviews with three mompreneurs who do business to save the family
economy. This paper concludes the layoffs that befell the head of the family,
encouraging women to play a role as saviors of the family economy by doing
small businesses that can help the family economy. Suggestion: mompreneurs
phenomenon occurs in many areas in Indonesia. Local government support is
needed in empowering mompreneurs to improve women's skills and business
potential
