Gender is the difference in behavior between men and women that is socially

constructed in people's lives. The gender issues have also entered the realm of

studies noted that the issues of gender in public relations have been widely

carried out by researchers in several parts of the world. The results show signs of

inequality in the public relations profession. It is very important to see new

relations profession in Indonesia is often considered a feminine profession and is

suitable for women. In addition, communication science, including public

relations, is one of the fields of science that is increasing in demand today. Is the

students? What are the issues that are developing in the field of public relations

today? This study aims to analyze current gender issues in public relations in

Indonesia and to identify key elements, trends and research gaps. A systematic

literature review was carried out using the Google Scholar database for the

period 2001 to 2021 which produced 200 scientific articles. Data analysis was

carried out through content analysis tools and abstract statistical processing by

Nvivo software, version 12. The results show that the category consists of studies
