Nadi shodhan






               In Sanskrit language, 'Nadi' implies 'flow' and 'shodhana' means 'to


               cleanse'. Thus, Nadi shodhan means a flow of breath which cleans the


               human system - body, mind and soul. It is easy to do and focuses on


               breathing through alternate nostrils. It is known in modern yogic


               conversation as 'sweet breath' technique.























               Note: It is also known as Anulom Vilom Pranayama or Nadi Shuddhi and is


               reckoned as a springboard for starters to cleanse the body for preparing their

               systems for higher, complex breath processes.





               Besides completely curing the defects in the internal system without any


               medicine, it is also known to impart a strong de-stressing effect on the


               body and mind. The great saints who have practiced this have told about


               this Pranayama that if it is practiced sincerely it not only intensifies the
