When you’re used to the practice



               Three more steps are added to complete Ujjayi Pranayama process. After


               breathing inside with contraction in throat, try to touch your chin to the

               upper side of chest (Jalandhar Bandha). Hold the breath inside for


               maximum 10 seconds (Kumbak).


               Now breathe out slowly with left nostril, by closing right nostril with your


               right hand thumb. Exhalation must be done by left nostril only. This is


               the Ujjayi in its full form.





                                          How long should I do this?



               As a beginner, you should do this in 3 sets of 15 each. As you get


               comfortable, it can be done for a good 7-8 sets a day.


                               Effects of Ujjayi Pranayama in the body



               Ujjayi Pranayama extends the breath, warms it before it enters the lungs


               and generates heat in the body. Through this heat, the internal fire is


               stoked in a balanced manner and powerful healing process is unlocked.
