MISSION
The Aims of the Association shall be:
• To promote amongst the young people of Singapore of the relevant age group personal
discipline, social and moral responsibility towards the community and the Singapore society;
• To promote and present balanced, non-competitive programmes to the young people of
Singapore that encourage self-development to the utmost level without regard to sex, race,
religion, or physical impediment.
• To develop "world-ready" and resilient youth in Singapore by equipping them with the
necessary skills for the future.
POLICIES
FINANCE AND FUNDING
The National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) Association remains a self-sustaining, not-for-
profit organisation committed to empowering youth development through responsible financial
stewardship. Our funding model is anchored on a diversified base that ensures long-term
sustainability and broad-based community support.
Our Life Benefactor, the Singapore Totalisator Board, continues to provide significant and
steadfast support, enabling us to expand our outreach and strengthen our programmes. In
addition, the Association is deeply grateful for the generous contributions from corporate
partners, philanthropic foundations, and members of the public who share in our mission of
nurturing the next generation of leaders.
To support the operational needs of our programmes, the Association collects a nominal one-time
registration fee from each participant upon enrolment into the NYAA main and junior
programmes. The fees are tiered by programme level to ensure affordability for all:
• Bronze Level: S$7.00
• Silver Level: S$12.00
• Gold Level: S$17.00
• Butterfly Award: $7.00
Notably, the majority of NYAA's activities remain free of charge, ensuring that financial
circumstances do not become a barrier to participation. This reflects our unwavering commitment
to inclusivity, accessibility, and equal opportunity for all young people.
One exception is the APEC Voices of the Future Program. This flagship international leadership
initiative involves participation in APEC meetings hosted by one of the 21 Asia-Pacific Economic
Cooperation (APEC) member economies. Given the international scope and associated overseas
costs, a separate registration fee is charged for participants in this programme.
Through prudent financial management and the continued trust and support of our donors,
partners, and stakeholders, the NYAA Association remains well-positioned to deliver high-impact
activities and projects. These meaningful experiences empower young people to grow as
responsible and contributing members of society.
