Silver Level: At least 40 hours of consistent service over a minimum period of 8 months
Gold Level: At least 60 hours of consistent service over a minimum period of 12 months

By participating in Service Learning, NYAA participants not only extend assistance to those in need
but also strengthen their leadership abilities, emotional intelligence, and sense of civic
responsibility—skills essential for contributing to a more caring and cohesive society.

Outdoor Appreciation (To be at Ease with Nature)

The Outdoor Appreciation component encourages participants to venture beyond their comfort
zones and experience personal growth through meaningful outdoor learning. Immersed in natural
settings, participants build confidence, develop problem-solving and decision-making skills,
enhance teamwork, and gain a deeper respect for nature. These experiences nurture a lifelong
sense of environmental responsibility and stewardship.

Objective: To cultivate confidence and resilience in outdoor environments while fostering a
greater appreciation and care for the natural world.

                   Minimum Requirements:
Bronze Level: At least 15 hours of outdoor activities with clearly defined learning objectives.
Silver Level: At least 24 hours of outdoor activities with clearly defined learning objectives.
Gold Level: At least 36 hours of outdoor activities with clearly defined learning objectives.

Through outdoor experiences, NYAA participants develop adaptability, leadership, and
collaborative skills while deepening their connection to nature, essential qualities that contribute
to well-rounded personal development and environmental stewardship.

Healthy Living (Physical & Mental Wellness)
The Healthy Living component underscores the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle that
supports both physical and emotional well-being. By adopting healthy habits such as regular
exercise, balanced nutrition, positive mental health practices, and the avoidance of harmful
behaviours—including smoking, substance abuse, and excessive alcohol consumption—
participants cultivate resilience, self-discipline, and overall wellness to meet the demands of daily
                   life and future challenges.

Objective: To encourage participants to adopt and sustain habits that promote lifelong physical
                   health and emotional well-being.

                   Minimum Requirements:
Bronze Level: At least 24 hours of regular health-enhancing activities, spread over a minimum of
                   6 months.
Silver Level: At least 32 hours of regular health-enhancing activities, spread over a minimum of 12
                   months.
Gold Level: At least 48 hours of regular health-enhancing activities, spread over a minimum of 18
                   months.

                   For Gold Level Only

At the Gold Level, participants are required to undertake an additional and distinctive component
                   — the Community Leadership Initiative, which challenges them to step forward as leaders in
service to others. This advanced component empowers participants to design and lead community
projects that address real-world issues, cultivate cultural sensitivity, and create meaningful,
                   sustainable impact.
