P. 17
The Revolution of Imam Hussein
(as) had gained the greatest section and the highest place
in history.
Why did Imam Hussein’s revolution occupy this position
and concern of history?
The martyrdom of Imam Hussein (as) was not an ordinary
martyrdom in the world of martyrs because he carried out
an Islamic plan, undertook a Godly and Quranic mission,
revolted to correct the path of the locomotive of Islam
which deviated from its main course and set right the belief
which was twisted.
It was his duty to reveal the truth and declare his rejection
to falsehood regardless what sacrifices and dangers
awaited him. He realised that life with oppressors was
humiliation, while death on the way of Allah and rising
up His word were glory, victory and safety. He took his
decision in obedience to his Lord and to protect the
religion of his grandfather the Chosen Prophet Muhammad
(p). He came out saying:
“I will proceed with the revolution and death is not
shameful for the youth if the intention is to defend the truth
and struggle as a Muslim.”
