keep track of how many tucks you’ve made on an individual strand, but don’t
worry about it. It makes a better splice if the strands exit at different points,
which creates a tapered splice. Clip off the wire tails close with the diagonal
cutters.
Apply your service as described earlier in this chapter, starting at the base of
the splice and working up to the eye. Now remove the finished and serviced
splice from the rigging vise.
