The average, or nominal, thickness of the part will be used for meshing recommendations later.
2.2.1.2.5 Adding a Gate
The most important aspect of simulation modelling for Flow-only analysis is where the gate is placed. This
will determine the characteristics of flow and flow balance throughout the part.
Use the Gate function to place your gate on your part: Commented [GU4]: changed you to your -SS
For a Flow-only analysis, simply place a Pin Gate on the surface of the part. The gate will show up on the
surface of the part as you hover the cursor.
The default scaling parameter will be 1:3:3 for Outlet Diameter, Inlet Diameter, and Gate Length,
respectively, and the magnitude of the scaling is dependent on the volume of the model imported into
Studio. The gate size can be changed once the gate is generated.
