The differences between these two types of meshes are laid out in the Meshing Theory section.
            2.2.1.3.2 BLM meshing techniques
Boundary Layer Mesh (BLM) is the primary meshing type used in Moldex3D Studio. There are two types
of mesh to be generated here:
               1) Surface Mesh
                    a. This is the boundary mesh for the part and it converts the surface model into several
                       triangular mesh elements.
                    b. Surface mesh sizing balances two computational characteristics:
                          i. Computation time
ii. Result Resolution (linked to accuracy)
               2) Solid Mesh
                    a. From the surface mesh, the solid mesh is generated. For BLM-type meshing, there are
three layers (or a user specified amount), the thickness of which are going to determine
the thickness resolution of the results.
            2.2.1.3.3 Node Seeding
The surface mesh template is set through the Seeding function.

Clicking on this function opens the Global Mesh Size screen:

The Mesh Size variable is a target for the length (in mm) of the distance between the feature line nodes
that are created. Clicking on Apply allows for the visualization of the node spacing relative to the size of
            the model.
