The mesh will save under two different file types:
1) .MDG
a. Designer native file
b. Can be used to modify components of the mesh, such as gate location or part geometry
2) .MFE
a. Project import file
b. This is the mesh file which will be imported into the simulation
After the mesh is exported, the program will automatically route to the “Home” tab to begin specifying
model setup.
2.3 Level 1 Theory (2/3) – Material, Process Condition and Parameters
2.3.1 Selecting a Material for Simulation
There are many different types of polymers which may be used in Moldex3D. Through the Moldex3D
Material Wizard, the material information may be obtained.
