An innovative approach to assimilate the editorial analytics related dashboards and views on
Digital wall was envisaged and commissioned in December 2016 at Times House. Easy to
comprehend visual analytics became pivotal in programming, editions timeliness and enhancing
quality of stories. Tweets/news trending, author popularity and stories views became quite a
popular metrics, which motivated editorial teams and promoted healthy competition. An
innovative construct employing video conferencing bridge (MCU) for Facebook Live streaming
from the new Recording Room achieved remarkably high interactivity and millions of Likes within
few weeks of launch, speaks high of our editorial prowess. This is key in ensuring high audience
engagement and of course, added opportunities for monetisation.

PROJECT EVEREST
“Project Everest”, which is a group wide SAP new G/L (general ledger) and GST roll-out is an
incredibly large magnitude project. The new G/L went live on 01st April 2017 on the new
production setup; while it was led by BCCL project leads. A project of this magnitude would have
not been possible without close collaboration and 24x7 effort of cross functional teams across the
group companies and chosen systems integration partner (Accenture).

ISO CERTIFICATION

A feather in the cap for the organisation in 2016-17 has been the ISO 27001:2013 certification
from BSI Assurance UK Limited, for selective IT scope at Mumbai and New Delhi. This is first ever
certification related to Information Security and will certainly help in streamlining controls and
governance around IT aided financial controls and business processes. This also validates strict
compliances around IT practices and processes that have been spruced up in last one year.
