Taking the statement forward, the TOI Tree Plantation Drive campaign was launched in
November through TOI media channels.
Participants for the Tree Plantation Drive included representatives from schools, colleges,
NGOs, corporations, spiritual organizations, local army jawans, Territorial Army, boy & girl
scouts and NCC in addition to the general public.
The event was covered in TOI publications, Radio Mirchi, online & social networking sites,
also participation of a number of distinguished dignitaries, added value to the event.
The enthusiasm amongst the participants, which included volunteers of Teach India,
members of spiritual organizations like Brahma Kumaris, Sawan Kirpal Ruhani Mission,
Baha'i faith, Shri Ram Chandra Mission and employees of Hero MotoCorp, was laudable.
In appreciation of its efforts to ‘Let Delhi Breath’, The Times of India bagged the Leader
award for its ‘TOI Green Drive’ campaign at the ECHO-affiliated DMA India
CREATEEFFFECT Awards 2016.
The awards celebrate India’s most creative and effective data-driven marketing
campaigns.
