IT FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION

Seamless IT Integration across functions was achieved by employing principles of Enterprise
Architecture framework supported by a robust Governance mechanism. This alignment
ensured a collaborative approach to IT solutioning as opposed to silos that were in operation
hitherto; thereby generating business value and transformational paradigms

Now, BEACON (Business Enterprise Architecture Conclave) provides a cohesive platform
with accountability for IT leadership to align various projects / initiatives with Business
Strategy and imperatives; quarter after quarter!

PROJECT LASER À PROJECT ELIXIR

Project Laser commenced in March 2016 and was aimed at stabilising and streamlining the
Editorial Workflow platform CCI NG 3.5. The project was successfully delivered in September
2016 after meeting 100% of the objective. Operational effectiveness could be gauged from
the fact that we attained near to 100% application availability, which is at par with
international standards for any business application. This was result of the exemplary
performance highlighted by various stakeholders across functions, further strengthened by
functional integration of IT & ensured resolution of such myriad & complex issues with
speed.
Project Laser was succeeded by Project Elixir, which entailed upgrade of the CCI-NG platform
for introduction of next generation services namely -- newsroom analytics and CUE mobility
interface for print and online channels. Learnings of Project Laser provided agility to deliver
a major milestone of Project Elixir on 25th February 2017, when the platform was upgraded
to CCI NG 3.7 for next set of services to be enabled. The new functionalities will be
operational by June 2017.
