Chamre Bhat




            Turmeric Rice


            Ingredients:
            2 cups rice
            water
            ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
            4 tablespoons butter


             Method:
             1.   Rinse rice thoroughly under running water.
             2. Place in a medium sized pan and fill with water, enough to cover the
                 rice well.  Bring to the boil, cover and simmer  for 15-20 minutes until
                 the rice is cooked through.
             3. When the rice in ready strain in a sieve,  put the rice back in the pan
                 and add the butter and turmeric.
             4. Mix well and serve with kakro ra aalu ko aachar, parbal ko tarkari
                 chamre bhat, and natural yoghurt.
