              Greeting a


              Customer in


              the Store




              You have a big part in the overall
              success of a Rent-A-Center store,
              and it begins with your ability to
              greet customers and help set a great
              first impression. Right now, you are
              limited in your knowledge, but as
              you progress through your training,
              it is very important that you be
              prepared to greet every customer with
              enthusiasm. So, let’s begin.

              The analogy “first impressions last a
              lifetime” is very true in our stores.
              A customer will form an opinion of
              you and the store within the first
              10-20 seconds. With that said, our
              goal at Rent-A-Center is to make
              every customer entering our store
              feel welcome. A positive impression
              will turn an “I’m just looking” into a
              “Yes, I want to rent.” This means that every
              coworker must be able and ready to greet the
              customer properly, and that includes YOU!


              Think back to a time when you entered a store and
              you didn’t feel welcome. How did this impact your
              experience?
