SAFETY AND SECURITY
Safety and security at Rent-A-Center are two things
to which we want to pay very close attention—we
want you, the store and the merchandise to be safe WELCOME & ORIENTATION / TRAINING ROADMAP
and secure while you’re at work. Keeping your eyes
open for certain situations can protect you and those
around you. It really just comes down to awareness—
when you’re aware of yourself, the merchandise, and
other people in the store, you’re on your way to being
as safe as you can be. SAFETY AND SECURITY / CREATING A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT / SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

CREATING A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT
There’s a lot of hustle and bustle in your store on a
daily basis: customers are coming in through the
front doors, coworkers, deliveries and merchandise
are going through the back doors, and merchandise
is moving throughout the store, in the trucks, and
at customer’s homes. Keeping your eyes peeled for
unsafe situations is imperative. Whether it’s blocked IT
walkways, unlocked back doors, or natural weather
REALLY
phenomenon—always be aware of your surroundings.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS (LIFTING, JUST
HANDTRUCKS, EQUIPMENT, HEALTH
CONCERNS)
Many of the injuries involve the incorrect use of COMES
safety devices and other equipment, such as the truck
liftgate and handtrucks. In the end, it comes down to DOWN TO
safety for you and your coworkers, so let’s talk about
how to prevent injuries, and what to do when they AWARENESS
happen.
