ABSTRACT
This research work consists of consultation, research and analysis by the stu-
dents of Financial Management Diploma, on fundamental topics such as strategic
planning, financial analysis and financial management, which is aimed at students
of the Business Administration, Business Administration and Public Accounting
programs of the Minute de Dios University Corporation Regional Center Madrid.
In strategic planning, after consulting in different bibliographical sources, the
strategy is defined as the making of assertive decisions to optimize resources and
enhance the functioning of the company, the importance of primary diagnostic
tools, corporate principles and values as fundamental pillars in the structure of the
organization, strategic monitoring such as the monitoring of strategic planning and
indicators, identifying their formulation, typology and structure.
The financial analysis proposes some stages for its elaboration in which it can
obtain a support for decision-making, it makes analysis of financial statements
with a practical example developing vertical and horizontal analysis, defining in-
dicators and financial reasons and interpreting their formulas and defining value
generation based on expected expectations.
On the subject of financial management, questions are answered such as:
What is financial management? Because financial management is important? And
who’s in charge of financial management? In addition, leverage is defined as debt
acquired according to the applicant company’s capacity to pay and its level of in-
debtedness, the importance, methods and advantages of the financial projection
are established, Earnings Before Interest Taxes Depreciation and Amortization
(EBITDA) in Spanish Earnings before interest rates depreciation and depreciation.
The methodology for the elaboration of this work was based on research from
various sources, which allowed to make conclusions and to obtain an overview of
all the topics dealt with during the development of the research, considering the
fundamental aspects of strategic planning, analysis and financial direction focu-
sed on the needs of the people to whom this work is directed.
