VP, Deal Analysis

Seth Weinger is the Vice President of Deal Analysis at the Walt

Disney Studios. In this role, Seth analyzes the overall

profitability and generates greenlight economics for all Studio

films (Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Pixar). He takes an active

role in constructing terms for all talent deals, distribution deals,

co-productions, slate financings, and other film related

transactions. Key successful transactions he’s been involved in

include: entering into and exiting the DreamWorks distribution

deal, acquisition of distribution rights for The Avengers, Iron

Man 3 and Indiana Jones films, the Sony Spider-Man deal,

among many others.

Originally from New York, Seth graduated from Syracuse

University with a BS in Finance. From there, Seth spent time on

Wall Street trading Latin American equities for JP Morgan. With

the intent of switching careers and joining the entertainment

industry, Seth attended USC Marshall for graduate school.

After receiving his MBA in 2005, Seth joined Walt Disney

Studios Home Entertainment where he managed the forecast

and planning of North American DVD and Blu-ray (and some

VHS!) releases. Seth joined the Deal Analysis team in 2007

and became head of the team in 2013. Seth’s interests include

movies (of course), sports (Syracuse basketball and Jets

football!), and coffee. Seth has a 4 year old daughter and a

newborn son on the way.
