Michelle Sewell directs worldwide PR strategy for all film titles
from Disney Live Action, Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel and
Lucasfilm. At Disney, she created the first movie global PR
team in the industry, developing innovative, fully integrated
end-to-end campaigns across domestic and international
markets and across release windows including in-home.
Among Sewell and her team's notable achievements in recent
years are the massive global PR rollouts of Star Wars: The
Force Awakens ($2B+), Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($1.3B),
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ($1B+) and Beauty and the
Beast ($1.2B+) as well as the global PR campaigns for 2017
hits, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($863M+), Pirates of the
Caribbean 5 ($794M), and COCO ($732M). She also led the
global PR campaigns for 2016 blockbusters: Captain America:
Civil War ($1.1B+), Zootopia ($1B+), Finding Dory ($1B+) and
The Jungle Book ($966M).
She has overseen the global campaigns for 11 of the top 25
worldwide releases of the industry including Avengers 1 and 2,
Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Captain America: The Winter
Soldier and Frozen.
Sewell also spearheads Disney’s awards campaigns, including
Academy Award-winning Best Animated Features Zootopia,
Inside Out, Big Hero 6, Frozen, Brave, Toy Story 3 and Up.
