Derek Carpenter is Director , Financial Planning & Analysis at Disney
Consumer Products and Interactive Media ( DCPI ).

In his role , Derek focuses on planning process & system
enhancements , specifically related to long -term planning and
strategic plan . He works across all DCPI business segments to
planning processes align to business cycles and system capabilities .

Derek joined DCPI in 2001 as a financial analyst for Disney
Interactive ( DI ). He has held multiple positions within the
Merchandise Licensing finance organization , working in for the
North America and Global Fashion & Home team . In 2009 , Derek
transitioned to an international role with the DCP team in EMEA ,
based in Hammersmith . He transitioned back to Glendale in 2012 ,
returning to the Merchandise Licensing organization to focus on the
Marvel & Lucas brands , as well as global financial consolidation for
Licensing .

Derek graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Finance . Derek lives in Pasadena and enjoys
outdoor hobbies such as running , hiking , and golf .
