• Attend managers debrief meeting after major tournaments
• Report any injuries to the HI office so that appropriate insurance documentation can
be completed to facilitate any claim. Ensure physio prepares relevant report on
this.
• Report any instances where players were selected for drug testing to the Anti-Doping
Officer. Ensure physio prepares a report on this.
• Submit financial report and
• Submit tournament report with 4 weeks (?). This report should include:
▪ Comment on the tournament organisation:
▪ Facilities for matches / training
▪ Transport arrangements
▪ Accommodation
▪ Food
▪ Travel arrangements
• Bring to the office any trophies won or pennants presented by other teams /
tournament organisers.
6.5 Player & Staff Kit
Managers must 2 x sets of blood injury kit in main in primary and alternative colours. Shirts,
shorts/skorts and socks
6.6 Flags & Emblems
• Ensure the 4 Provinces Flag is collected from Hockey Ireland Office before
Tournament/Event. This is mandatory for all EHF/FIH events.
6.7 Passports & Visas
• All players need an Irish Passport. Care should be on time allowed for application
due to increased demand.
• Passports as a ‘general rule of thumb’ need to be valid for six months from date of
departure from host country.
• It is highly recommended that Managers have a colour or scanned copy of all
passports and that each individual also retains a copy and visa (if appropriate) in the
event of loss or theft.
• Security of Passports is essential. Original passports will be required for tournament
entry at TD’s briefing. Care should be taken at transport hubs, particularly airports.
– NO PASSPORT = NO TRAVEL!
• Managers should be aware of procedures for replacement and nearest Embassy.
6.8 Vehicle Hire & Transport Provision
6.8.1 Duty of Host Nation
• Hosts Nations are responsible for organising Airport transfers.
• Manager’s may have to organise individual late player / staff arrivals.
