APPENDIX 1 – SAMPLE LETTER

I am delighted to confirm your selection for this season’s _____ training panel.
Congratulations! Your manager will be in contact with you to advise when the training
sessions are going to take place, once this information is received you should inform your
school and club.

Each player will have a minimum of two sessions before the panel is reduced.

Junior Age Group (JAG) squads are self-funding and players / parents are asked to
contribute to the programme as follows:
• During the trialling period players will contribute the sum of €25 for each training
session.
• Once the squad enters selection mode the management will detail the phased
approach of the remainder of the programme and the costs involved. Each following
phase will require a contribution to be made for that phase. The amounts involved
for all phases will be made known to each player in advance by the team
management.
• Where a squad fundraises to mitigate the cost of the players’ contributions this
funding will be allocated to their particular squad / programme. Should any excess
arise at the end of the programme it will be refunded to all contributors.

Hockey Ireland is currently investigating an online payment facility and will advise details as
soon as they are confirmed.
