HABIB JAFAR AL-HADHAR`S DA`WAH ON YOUTUBE : THE NEW
FACE OF INDONESIAN MILENNIUM PREACHERS

Abstrak: Habib Jafar al Hadar is one of the phenomenal digital preachers in
Indonesia today. He is also active in writing books, creating creative content
through his YouTube channel @pemudatersesat, and several content
collaborations with other YouTubers. By 2021 until now, he has 701,000
subscribers on YouTube, with an average view of over 1 million views in each
video, making him one of the most popular digital preachers in Indonesia. Based
on online research and interviews with several of his followers on his social
media in 2022, this article highlights the implementation of his YouTube
channel @pemudatersesat and oral and visual expressions in his da'wah. This
article examines how Habib Jafar al Hadhar uses social media to spread his
da'wah ideas among young people. His approach to da'wah is entertaining, light,
and non-judgmental. Da'wah materials delivered are more readily accepted by
the younger generation and create a new face in Islamic da'wah in Indonesia so
that the da'wah delivered can be accepted by the internet community in
Indonesia today.
