INSTALLATION AND STARTUP
Chapter 9 Optional “Add-On” Items
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Option
If you have purchased the R.O. Option and are installing it onto an existing FressStyler® machine,
please follow these steps carefully.
1) Push in the E-Stop button.
2) First you will need to open up the driver and
passenger side pod covers along with the exit
utility cover. The R.O. feed assembly will mount
in the middle of the all purpose manifold.
3) Locate the R.O. accessory box (106950) and pull
out the R.O. ASCO valve assembly, the brass
1/2” NPT x 1/2” barbed hose elbow (1ELBOW-
BR917), the brass 1/2” NPT x 1/2” FNPT
elbow(1ELBOW-BR423), and the brass 1/2” NPT
x 1/2” FJIC swivel fitting(1MCONC-BR745).
Apply Teflon™ tape and liquid Teflon™ to all
three of the brass fittings before tightening in to
position.
4) You may need to loosen the fasteners that hold
the all purpose manifold to the c-channel in order
to get the brass elbows in to their location. Refer
to the pictures for the location of both of the
elbows.
5) The 1ELBOW-BR917 will get tightened in to the hole that is on the entrance side of the all purpose manifold. Be sure to
point the elbow in the direction that the 3/4” blue water hose will be coming off of the bulkhead utility block. Pull the
supplied 2-1/2 ft. of the 3/4” blue water hose (1HOSE650) from the accessory box along with the 2-3/4” single ear clamps
(1CLAMP478). Place the 2 clamps on to the hose and push one end of the hose on to the barb hose fitting that is in the
manifold and the other end of the hose on to the barbed hose fitting that is third from the top of the bulkhead utility block.
Crimp both clamps on to the hose at this time.
6) On the exit side of the manifold you will tighten the ASCO valve assembly to the brass elbow that you previously
tightened in. In the accessory box is the molded din cable (1ELECT-CB886) that will run from the R.O. ASCO valve to the
8-port electrical junction block which is located on the exit side of the carriage utility C-channel. The cable will screw into
port number 6 on the junction block
7) Now starting inside of the driver side pod, locate the brass cross assembly that feeds the 2 white plastic nozzle bodies.
Replace the brass plug that is on top of the cross with the supplied 1/2” x 1/2” brass barbed-hose elbow (1ELBOW-
BR425). Apply Liquid Teflon™ to the elbow before tightening down into the cross. Once the elbow is tightened in place,
secure two 1/2” ear clamps onto the supplied 67-1/2” section of 1/2” water hose (1HOSE550) and run tha hose from the
elbow in the cross to the brass straight fitting that is in the bottom of the brass tee coming out of the ASCO™ Valve. Be
sure that the line is attached so that it will not be put into a position where it can be kinked or pinched. Now tighten the ear
clamps on.
8) Repeat STEP 7 on the opposite side. The 95” piece of 1/2” blue water hose for this side will go from the brass cross to
the brass elbow that is on the side of the brass tee coming out of the ASCO™Valve.
9) The 3000 GPD Stand Mounted R.O. System should be placed on the same side as all the other utilities that are in the
bay. Once in place, run the field supplied 3/4” water hose from the re-pressurization pump on the R.O. unit, through the
boom, and then to the bulkhead utility block. Be sure that the water hose is clamped on both ends and also is tie strapped
inside of the boom similar to the fresh water feed line.
10) You can now turn on the water, R.O. unit, and the ASCO valve. While it is running, check both airlines and both 3/4”
"water hoses for any leaks. If there are no leaks or other issues with the R.O. system, you can shut the exit carriage utility
cover and both of the pod covers.
11) Pull the E-Stop out if there are no further issues.
