Chapter 9 Optional “Add-On” Items

Wheel Cleaning and CTA Options

There are two styles of wheel cleaning options available.
Wheel Stinger with Freestanding CTA Wheel Stinger with On-Board CTA

Wheel Stinger with Freestanding CTA
The FreeStyler's Wheel Stinger with Freestanding CTA option delivers high volumes of medium-pressure water for
optimal cleaning results. This wheel cleaner consists of onboard delivery manifolds with foam sleeves, bay entrance
applicators, delivery pump platform with hydrominder holding tank, and sensors to notify operators if a fault occurs. Each
onboard delivery manifold has three individual nozzle discs with 5 degree nozzles per side, which are fully adjustable for
pinpoint cleaning accuracy.

How it works: The Wheel Stinger with Freestanding CTA applies the tire cleaning chemical through Freestanding CTA
applicators that are floor-mounted at the wash bay's entrance. Then during the FreeStyler's wash process, the onboard
delivery manifolds automatically activate to deliver a medium-pressure tire cleaning blast, which washes away any
remaining tire debris. Both Wheel Stinger options provide effective cleaning results on all types of vehicle tires.

Wheel Stinger with On-Board CTA
The FreeStyler's Wheel Stinger with Onboard CTA option delivers high volumes of medium-pressure water for optimal
cleaning results. This wheel cleaner consists of onboard delivery manifolds with molded, hard plastic, protective sleeve
covers. Each onboard delivery manifold has three individual nozzle discs with 5 degree nozzles per side, which are fully
adjustable for pinpoint cleaning accuracy. This cleaner also includes Onboard CTA delivery applicators, onboard photo
eyes, a hydrominder holding tank, and sensors to notify operators if a fault occurs.

How it works: The Wheel Stinger with Onboard CTA uses both the treadle and the photo eyes to identify the exact
position of the vehicle's tires. The Onboard CTA then applies the tire cleaning chemical in one cleaning pass, followed by
a medium-pressure water blast in a second cleaning pass. Both Wheel Stinger options provide effectively cleaning results
on all types of vehicle tires.
If you have purchased either of these options, the main manifold located inside of the carriage has
been installed at the factory. The remainder of the components will have to be installed in the field.
The next section will assist in installing those components.
