Float Switch
The float is installed in the top of the storage tank using the following:
Drill a 1-3/4” hole as close to the center of the top of the tank as possible.
Remove the locking nut from the float assembly by sliding it all the way off over the plug.
Note: The rubber gasket should be on the inside of the tank.
Run the plug up through the hole from the inside of the tank.
Pull all the cord through and slide the assembly into the hole.
Replace the locking nut and tighten.
Plug the 2-prong twist lock into the controller marked “Float Plug.”
See picture(s) on previous page.
Quality Sensor Light
1) The quality sensor light monitors total dissolved solids (TDS) in the purified stream.
Note: As long as the TDS remains below 25 parts per million (PPM) the light remains on and the
quality of the purified water is high.
Note: If the light goes out while the unit is running the quality of the purified water may have
degraded and the membrane may have to be cleaned or replaced.
2) To test the light and determine if the problem is with the bulb instead of the membrane perform the
following:
Simply unplug the float; the plug is on the side of the controller.
Undo the lower nylon tube on the quality control light assembly.
Note: If the light comes back on when the water has drained out, the bulb is good and the
problem is in fact with the membrane(s).
Note: See picture(s) on previous page.
