Insert Scaffold Element
Insertion of single scaffold element works quite the same for all product categories.
The benefit of this function is that you don’t need to care much about accurate insertion point and
level. And you can work in 3D view. It works best in 3D view where you have best control of where to
insert.
You are prompted to point on an existing element. For instance, a standard. Just point somewhere
around the connection point and the element will find the correct location its selves. The most
commonly used direction of the element will be used as default rotation. This means along the
scaffold direction for o-ledger and toward the wall for consoles. If you need to rotate afterwards, just
select det element after insertion and press space bar on the keyboard.
Most of the equipment have multiple sizes. These sizes will pop up in a type selector list below the
button. Select a type before insertion of the element.
The insert functions work best for standard elements to scaffold when correct insertion point can be
inherited from the scaffold. For many of the extra elements, specially those you can find among
other items and equipment, this might not be that useful. Then just add the families to the project
using the type selector. And use Revit’s own tools for further insertions.
