PROJECT SHARING WITH WORKSHARING

          Local file

When a project is created for Worksharing and saved as Central file, each user can create a
copy of the Central file. The recommendation is that each user creates a new local file every
day. This means that it is not necessary to choose "Syncronize with Central" before work, to
          begin.

Stored local file locally, on the user's PC. Create if necessary, a new folder on the local drive
C:\ drive and name it Revit Worksharing <Version>. Add the path in Options > File
Locations > Default Path For User Files.

          Method Description

At the opening of the Central File This method creates a new local file and Revit opens

Manual copying In some cases, users can experience that Create New
Local is not possible to choose. In this case copy
Central file manually in the Explorer to the preferred
                                                location on the user's PC.

          NOTE:
It is important that all users have the same mapping to network drive, otherwise it is not
possible to work together. In other words, the same drive letters to the same location. This can
be a problem if the user maps the path of its drive, manually. Typically, Group mapping, takes
