Task – Selection Filter

Purpose: To understand how the Selection Filter can contribute to a more specified selection of
items:

1. Open file ”Brugerflade Navigering.rvt” and navigate to
the 3D view in the Project Browser

2. Select all building components by holding the mouse
down on empty space in the view and drag a
rectangle over the building

3. In the Context Tab in Ribbon menu appears now
button Filter

4. Notice the filter at the bottom of the screen to the right
(Selection Bar). This field specifies how many objects
there are marked

5. Click on one of the two Filter buttons to see which
categories of items selected
