View management
Copying views
If you want more views of the model, you can make a copy of the views.
In Revit hangs the whole model together, so if you want some things shown somewhere and not
somewhere else, you can Delete (delete) what is not used, because if something is deleted, it is
deleted in the entire database. Instead, you can turn on and off the display of the objects.
A view can be duplicated by right clicking an existing
view. Then select Duplicate View in right click menu.
There are three different ways to duplicate:
Duplicate
Duplicate with Detailing
Duplicate as a Dependent
Creates a copy of the current view in "pure" form, IE. without
Duplicate
annotation (objective, numbering, detail lines etc.).
Creates a copy of the current view that inherits everything from
Duplicate with Detailing the original. Showing both the model and the corresponding
annotation (objective, numbering, detail lines etc.).
A "dependent" view shows only a specific area of the original
view. Match lines can be inserted to indicate where a view is
broken down and "View References" to link different parts of
views together.
Duplicate as a Dependent
Can be used with advantage if a plan drawing is too big for a
size preview defined on a sheet, and it must therefore be
divided. Original View and the Dependent View adaptes to
both, if one of them should be directed in the View Control Bar.
