                  Understand Revit

It is mentioned earlier that Revit is a parametric database. To completely understand what it
means, we have reviewed some of the expressions and terms that are used in Revit.

                  Parametric

All objects in a Revit project are in relation to each other.
The term parametric refers to the possibility of editing and coordination between all the model
elements such as Revit provides. These relationships are created either automatically by Revit
                  or by the user.
An example of relationships could be a deck edge, which is drawn up to the model's walls. If the
wall is moved, the deck will move also, because there is a connection.
Parameters is all the information that can be attached to an object, for example. height, width,
material, fire class and similar Parameters are seen in the items properties.

                  Database

In a project, we model with the above information-carrying elementsAs you added walls, doors,
Windows, decks, etc. Revit model database fills with this information, which can be pulled out in
schedules. It is therefore possible to follow the quantities throughout the design. The information
can be edited, and new information can be added on afterwards.
