Family naming
Family naming
It is important to use good time finding forward to the naming of the Family. Each company
should find a structure, naming, which is applicable to all employees.
Also, consider about the cooperation with other companies, so select a language that anyone
can use, for example. English.
Instance parameter
These are object-specific and relates exclusively to the selected object.
Instance parameter, for example, on walls, covers primarily the individual wall location in the
project, its height, if it is load-bearing, etc. The information ranges from wall to wall,
independently of the type. This information can be seen in "Properties".
Type parameter
These are type-specific, and changes to them leads to uniform changes on all objects of the
same type.
Type parameter, for example, on walls, relates to the wall's building (Structure), which for good
reason cannot vary from wall to wall of the same type and a series of Identity Data that
describes wall type. These data provide the ability to associate some master data for the walls
of this type for later use.
Instance and the Type parameter are very important when working with families.
