Dobermann Club

N orth of England Dobermann Club, of the other founder members. Phillippa went
on to become the first Secretary of the Club
formed in 1964, is the second-longest
Dobermann Breed Club in existence,
the first being the Dobermann Club and she was also I believe a founder member
of the Dobermann Club. At the AGM in 1966
which was formed in 1948. In 1964 the NEDC it was agreed to change the name of the Club
did literally cover all the North of England and to The North of England Dobermann Club and
shows were held right across the area, from Co. to establish the Yorkshire Branch to be named
Durham to Rochdale near Manchester. The Trans-Pennine Dobermann Club. This
branch was promoted by a group of enthusiasts,
The Club was established in 1964 and named prominent among them being Dudley Wontner-
The North East Dobermann Club. The main Smith, however at an SGM held after the NEDC
force in the establishment of the Club was Open Show on 24th April 1971 this branch and
Phillippa Thorne-Dunne who was a founder the main club were merged. The Club held its
member, sadly I am unable to find the names first Ch Show on the 14th May 1966 judged by
The Committee of the NEDC in 1989 with the two American judges
