               Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord: “Though your sins are like scarlet, they
shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”

Every time I read this scripture, I always picture this loving and compassionate Father
standing with open arms, inviting me in for an embrace, disregarding all my faults and
shortfalls, offering me another second chance. Hebrews 4:15 says, “For we do not have a
high priest who is unable to sympathise with our weaknesses…” God’s love is constant and
persistent even when ours isn’t. So often, consciously or unconsciously, we tend to disregard
God, but even then, He stands knocking at the door of our hearts. Tonia Woolever said, “God
is not interested in perfection, He wants your heart. He wants a relationship.” and really, that
is all there is to it, He merely yearns for a relationship with us, He yearns for a relationship
               with you.

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow to fulfil His promise as some count slowness, but is patient
toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” I
constantly ask myself, ‘Lord, what manner of love is this that You shall care for us so?’ The
answer is simple, it is in His nature, it is the great love He has for us, Agape. I honestly think
He just cannot help Himself because He just loves you that much. I pray that you too,
encounter this love, embrace this love and just enjoy it always. I pray that you meet and have
fellowship with this Father, Friend and Confidant that promises to protect you, come hell or
high waters, holds you by your right hand and more. He is our peace, our voice of reasoning,
strength and the love that dwells in our hearts for all.

“Come now, let us reason together”

               So, what do you say?
