Broiled Grapefruit with
Vegetarian
Honeyed Yogurt
Gluten-Free
This simple, elegant, unusual dessert is even great for breakfast
sprinkled with some wholesome granola. Whether for dessert or
for breakfast, it is sure to be a big hit. Ruby red grapefruits tend
to be sweeter than yellow grapefruits and are at their peak during
winter months.
Cooking Tip: Prevent your grapefruits from wiggling around in the
baking pan by cutting a small slice of the bottoms to steady them.
3 ruby red grapefruits, ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
halved and cut along ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
the segments 3 tablespoons honey
6 tablespoons coconut sugar
1. Preheat the broiler to high.
2. Place the grapefruit halves, cut-side up, in a 13-by-9-inch baking
pan. Sprinkle the grapefruit with coconut sugar and cinnamon.
3. Broil for 5 minutes or until the sugar is caramelized. Watch care-
fully so they don’t burn. Remove to a wire rack to cool a bit.
