Below is a summary of a series of planning meetings that took place prior to the championships:

2017 IMG Kenya proceeded to Kenyatta University for a recce Wambui Karanja, Caroline Macharia,
arrival of the athletes. However IMG Kenya was denied Wakhusama – IMG Kenya Team
access to the venue.
1st July A recce was conducted with the Late CS of Security Major Internal Security and Coordination
2017 General Joseph Nkaissery. He toured and inspected the CS Joseph Ole Nkaissery , CS for
games Village ahead of the championships. During the Sports Culture and Arts Dr. Hassan

After the recce was done with the late CS Nkaissery, KU Secretariat Head of Operations–
met with the LOC Secretariat Head of Operations and IMG Regina Gachora, 30 Members of the
Kenya to discuss the pending issues at the athlete’s village LOC
prior to the team’s arrival.
