Learning and Development Policy
1.0 Policy Name: Learning and Development (L&D) Policy
2.0 Policy Statement: Bracket believes that employee development and learning should be
an integral part of the organization’s strategic planning that will support Bracket’s continued
competitive advantage in Science, Technology, Service.
3.0 Policy Scope:
This policy applies to all Bracket locations and staff worldwide
4.0 Policy Purpose:
To provide an environment where continuous development and learning can take place,
where employees are supported and enabled to meet the changing demands and priorities of
Bracket’s customers.
To establish Bracket as Learning Organization promoting staff development as a key feature
of Brackets success.
5.0 Learning Principles:
To support an environment of continuous learning, we will seek to provide and
support numerous methods of learning.
· We will use performance management to ensure that any solutions developed focus
on improving performance overall and look beyond L&D solutions;
· Where an L&D solution is identified, the most effective L&D solution for the need
identified will be used; and
· The effectiveness of the L&D work will be assessed using operational performance
measures.
To establish an environment of continuous development, Bracket will support
employees in their pursuit of continuous professional development through a number
of initiatives as outlined in the Professional Development Program which can be
found on HR SharePoint
