That was me. I drank too much beer. That, along with too much “junk” food, did me in.
From a normal “skinny kid”, almost overnight I became morbidly obese AND NEVER SAW IT COMING.
The very thought of giving up my cheeseburgers, fries and beer WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
Then came my 2 boys playing in my pant legs. Well . . . . that was TOO much.
Enter Dr. Selby.
OK – so Dr. Selby did the FOOD part – but NOT the booze part.
The beer didn’t affect me as much as the food, so at first I was OK with a beer or two (or more) at dinner.
But as I got older and my metabolism slowed down – I began to gain weight again. IT WAS THE BEER.
So, I tried ordinary, less expensive Seltzer water in 16-ounce plastic bottles instead of beer. THAT WORKED.
My weight IMMEDIATELY went back to normal, I still have ONE Light Beer at dinner and all was great again.
Be Careful. Seltzer and Club Soda have no sugar added – Tonic Water has lots of calories (sugar) added.
Please skip the ZERO carb soda drinks – all those chemicals don’t improve your health – so why pay for it –
Seltzer is great – and plain COLD water is also EXCELLENT during the day.
