Operations


                                                                                     MNS is working with its customers to help reduce energy use through more efficient routing and

                                                                                     planning of operations.   Optimizing routing and scheduling enables are crews to spend less time
                                                                                     between sites and more time at sites.  This creates a win-win for both MasTec and our customers as

                                                                                     network initiatives are rolled out faster and more efficiently.

                                                                                     Sustainability starts in the field with MNS.  Our crews remove all packing and shipping materials from

                                                                                     the site and arrange for transport to our warehouse locations where items are either returned to our
                                                                                     customer or sorted for recycling and landfill avoidance.

                                                                                     For network decommissioning activities, MNS has led nationwide major decom and end of life
                                                                                     projects by recycling millions of pounds of metals and significant GHG reductions and landfill
                                                                                     avoidance as a result.




                                                                                                                                         Support Operations


                                                                                     MNS has invested heavily in software, hardware and process improvement to reduce paper use and
                                                                                     automate many internal processes within our back offices and support organization.


                                                                                     The company has implemented many paperless systems in our Human Resources, Accounting, Quality
                                                                                     and Safety departments.


                                                                                     Our IT purchasing department analyzes lifetime operating costs of computers, network gear and

                                                                                     servers by placing an emphasis on ‘Energy Star’ certified equipment when making new purchases.
